The American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) awards daylilies that
have shown outstanding performance in a wide range of geographical locations
and growing conditions. The following are the most common awards given:

Most outstanding eye or banded flower. |
Don Fischer Memorial Cup |

Given to the most outstanding miniature (Flower under 3"). |
Eugene S. Foster Award |

Most outstanding late blooming flower. |
Harris Olson Spider Award |
HSA |
Best spider or spider variant. |
Honorable Mention |
HM |
An award given to those cultivars that have shown excellent performance beyond the local or regional level. |
Ida Munson Award |
IMA |
Most outstanding double flower. |
James E. Marsh Award |

Most outstanding purple or lavender flower. |
Junior Citation |

Given to the daylily that has shown outstanding promise prior to introduction. |
L. Ernest Plouf Award |
LPA |
Given to a dormant daylily that is the most fragrant. |
Lenington All-American Award |

Given to the daylily that performs best in all the different geographic regions. |
Stout Silver Medal |
SM |
The highest award a daylily can receive. |
